OPI NYC Ballet Collection

When I saw this collection was reduced on Buyapowa (seriously I'm not sponsored by them or anything but I love itt!) I thought the colours would be perfect for spring/summer.

There are all mini sizes, consisting of 3 lovely neutral colours and a sparkly one.

My Pointe Exactly - This one I think is the most unusual colour, its a light grey but with a touch of purple to it. I really like this as its very different to other colours, normally I would say a grey isn't very spring/summer but the sheerness of all these colour in the collection make them perfect

Don't Touch My Tutu! - A really pale white, its not really creamy, its a hard one to describe but it gives such a lovely polished look, just like a french manicure style.

Care To Danse? - This colour is a really pale lilac, almost white but with a touch of purple/pink. All of these are a lovely sheer colours.

Pirouette My Whistle - A gorgeous silver glitter polish with tiny flecks of sparkle as well as larger hexagonal ones. This is actually my first glitter polish but I really like how this one is subtle and can be put with anything, bright or pastel.

Here's a little mini review of my current blushes/cheek products that I use on a regular basis..

(L-R) MeMeMe Blush Me! In Rouge, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish - Triple Fusion,
Bourjois Blush - 03 Brun Cuivré, Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels
MeMeMe Blush Me! In Rouge £8.50

This comes in a Benefit stye box with a little brush (which I don't use) its called rogue but I think the colour comes up quite coral/ orange. It has got tiny flecks of golden sparkle in it, which I personally love! Not so much a fan of matte blushers, I think this is especially nice for spring/summer as it gives a lovely sheen to the cheeks..

Its got a lovely pigmentation and you can easily build up colour with this blusher, and its got a really nice silky texture. As you can see below, you can create a nice natural sheer blush or wear it more opaque, which ever you prefer..

MAC Mineralize Skin Finish - Triple Fusion £21.50

This is a limited edition product which I got in an airport, AGES ago, probably like 3-4 years, so I can't guarantee the price also I'm afraid there isn't really anything in MAC like this at the moment..
As you can see it is made up of 3 colours, a gold, an orangey brown and a pink, so they can be worn individually or blended together.

They all contain large amount of sparkle and glitter (especially the gold) so definitely stay clear if you are a matte blush kinda gal!
I personally only wear this out at night and mostly in the summer as I think it gives a lovely sheen to your cheek and I use it as a highlighter.

Be warned, you do need a light hand as a large amount of product comes loose as you swirl your brush around..
It is a high end product, and so with that comes a high end price tag (boo!) but I really do think its worth it, this has lasted me a really long time, and I don't see any signs of me finishing it any time soon!

Bourjois Blush - 03 Brun Cuivré £7.49 (currently this £5.49 at Boots and Superdrug)

This is my oldest most faithful blush by far! I think I've had this in my collection ever since I first started wearing make up, so that must be a good 6 years or so! (so I'm pretty sure I didn't pay £7.50..)

This is my trusty favourite and I do love Bourgois blushers, I think they are incredibly good value for money as I never finished one in all this time (I did have to buy a spare to keep in my handbag, haha ) even though its such a small pot!

I would describe this as a burnt orange sort of colour because it gives your check bones a sort of contour style flush of colour but because of the slight sheen it also highlights. Its the perfect 'in-a-rush-blush' as its a 3-in-1 product.
Unfortunately you do need a hard-ish brush, not a super soft one as the product is quite hard and compacted in, however if you occasionally scratch the surface with your nail then you can use a lovely soft brush :)

Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels £8

I've already done a blog post featuring this product so I don't want to bore you all. If you want to read this click here

L'Oreal Caresse Lipsticks, Real Techniques Eye Starter Set, Maybelline Colour Tattoos, Goody Volume Boost, Maybelline Gel Eyeliner, L'Oreal Super fine Liner

I got sucked into the Boots 3-for-2 deal and ended up having a little splurge..

L'Oreal Caresse Lip Stick
These are amazing, I found out about them through the usual blogger hype but wow i'm in love! The are sheer and almost gloss like but not in a bad way. The have just the best amount of colour pay off, (for a sheer colour-does that make sense?) and there are in no-way drying, they are like a balm in the level of moisturisation.

I got the colours 301- Dating Coral and 501- Nude Ingenue, above are the swatches.
The nude is such a beautiful everyday colour, and especially due to the formulation, its gonna be living in my handbag all spring/summer.
The coral is also amazing, coral lips are my favourite for day time and these lipsticks would be perfect for anyone who is a bit scared of wearing colour during the day.

What do you think? Will you be giving these a go?

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hour - Gel Cream Eyeshadow
Again these have been on the blogger hype and I couldn't resist. I got the colours On and On Bronze and Permanent Taupe which are both really easy to wear neutral colours (my fave for eye colours)

Sorry the colours were quite hard to photograph correctly!
So these are cream eyeshadow, which have amazing staying power and provide great bases for eye shadows or just on their own. I love both of these colours are they are great everyday colours.
Permenant Taupe is a grey-brown totally matte shade which blends out into a nice eye crease colour, and can be used to achieved a perfect smokey eye.
On and On Bronze has a slight shimmer finnish and can be either worn sheer, or built up as it has amazing pigmentation, lovely for night time look.

Real Techniques Brushes, I don't feel like I need to review all these separately, at some point I will do an overview of my favourite brushes (which I'm sure will include Real Techniques ones) So stay tuned for that!
Also, coming up is my favourite eyeliners/comparison blog post :)

I've been a bit mad with make up recently due to the amazing 3-for-2 Boots offer so I have a lot to show you.. which i'll be doing over the next week or so

I thought I would just do a quick update about Buyapowa, if you've never heard of it before then you've been missing out. Its basically where people can group together and bulk buy products at a reduced rate that would normally be available for companies. Often you can get unto 75% off, the majority of the products are beauty, hair and skin care, however there can be all kinds of accessories ranging from laptops to cars! The price gets driven down with the amount of people that join the co-buy in 48hours, however, they only have a limited number of the product, so you have to be fast!
Better yet, if you refer other people (the most other people) then you can actually get the product for free!

I have actually got involved with two of the co-buys on at the moment:

The Jemma Kidd -Glamour Kit
It is a beautiful eyeshadow palette which has amazing neutral colours, perfect for everyday and also night time classic looks such as the smokey eye. The RRP is £28 and the best price is £11.50! Which is better than half price. So if you're interested click on the link below and don't forget to say who referred you :)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Eye shadow primer

I feel these two items go hand in hand perfectly. I unfortunately suffer from oily eyelids (ewww!) and so I find eye shadow difficult to wear without creasing, it hardly lasts any time. Does anyone else have this problem?
So i'm hoping that this might be my answer, its a silicone based primer to protect against creasing, melting and fading eyeshadow.
Has anyone else tried this? Or what other products could you recommend..
The best price for this co-buy is £9 (RRP £16.50) so thats another good saving!

I hope you've had a lovely weekend :) xx
