July Haul -- what I bought this month

Quite a long post which is picture heavy but I always enjoy to see what people have been buying.. I know this is more suited to a video on youtube, but I don't do videos so sorry about that!
Its all from Boots, I'll leave links and prices where I can
Nivea Happy Time body wash - this stuff smells amazing, so summery, and who can't like the name! plus it was only 97p in Boots!

Soap and Glory Flake away - £2.50 this is a lovely exfoliator and it also smells gorgeous and leave skin feeling silky smooth. I goth the travel size as I thought it'd be perfect for my holiday!

Boots Botanics - Purifying Face Scrub - yet to use this but I thought i'd pick it up.

Natural Collection eye shadows in Willow and Asteroid. These are such great quality products, and really good value. It was 3 items for £5 so I couldn't help but get a blush too..

Natural collection Blush in Peach Melba. has really good colour pay off and gives a lovely healthy glow to the cheeks, the colour on my skin actually works a bit like a bronzer - shows how pale I am ha!

We are well and truly in Festival season and although this might be a bit late, I thought i'd do it anyway as it'll be useful in summers to come!

This is the first in the series which will include, beauty and makeup, fashion, hair and this one which is camping necessities and equipment.
  • TENT most essential item! Its useful to have a patterned one, as its easier to find among all the tents that look the same, i got a green flowery one really cheap from Millets when it closed in my town.
  • Sleeping bag and mat
  • Torch
  • Wellies - SO USEFUL even if it doesn't rain, with that many people walking across the same bit of grass it soon becomes a mud bath
  • Small pillow (or pillow case to stuff with a jumper!)
these are the shoes I took, but I just lived in my wellies!

  • Cooking stove - can be very useful when you don't wanna have to pay for a cup of tea!
  • Cooking utensils such as pan, plate, cutlery wooden spoon
Miscellaneous: some other items you could consider..
  • Camera, I like to take a disposable with me
  • Sun glasses
  • Bin bags - to use as a a super stylish waterproof poncho, to sit on, or to use in the conventional way
  • Sleeping eye patch, ear plugs
  • Umbrella
  • Waterproof jacket
  • Face paint

Here are some suggested hair styles that I will be rocking at this years festivals..

Day 1
This is just my normal everyday hair style - natural waves and to add to the 'festival boho look' I've added a floral headband. This one is from New Look and cost about £2 in the sale - bargain!

Day 2
I know my hair looks different in different lighting, its strange!

I have added two small plaits to the side of my head, not a very exciting change!

Day 3

Day 3 means your hair is not gonna be looking so fresh, I think a top not is perfect for this, especially teamed with a cute flower headband.

Day 4

Last day of the festival, definately won't be feeling very clean and for me this means the fringe has to be pinned back. Adding a head scarf can stylishly hide any greasy roots and instantly make any style look for festival appropriate!

So when you're going to a festival, you're probably not gonna take all your hair styling products and electrical devices with you. These are a few of my essentials;
You need to think about the basics that will get you by for the 3-4 days of the festival.

Here are my suggestions for essentials:
Small hair spray- Boots, Hair brush - Tangle Teaser- Boots, Comb -Primark , Hair bands, grips and a clip
For me, with a fringe a comb is an essential everyday so definately something to remember for a festival. This is just a little can of hairspray, I'm not too fussy on the make.

Another thing of massive importance to me is DRY SHAMPOO - you don't know if you're gonna get the chance to wash your hair (I didn't at Latitude - don't judge) so this is very important at banishing the oil!

Of course you might need normal shampoo - I've got these handy travel sized ones from John Frieda

Last but not least - hair accessories! I love a good head scarf or flower hair band and these are perfect for festivals to add to the boho look and also disguise from bad hair days ;)

Pink flower band - New Look, Daisy Flower headband - Primark, Head scarf - Mum! Other band - can't remember sorry!
Hopefullt this was useful, my next post will be some hair styles that you could wear at a festival!
